MISS GRAND UK – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions govern your participation in the Miss Grand UK competition, operated by Pageants Planet Ltd. By submitting an application, making any payment, or participating in any event related to Miss Grand UK, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions in full.

1. DEFINITIONS

  • "Organiser" refers to Pageants Planet Ltd and its directors, staff, and affiliates.

  • "Contestant" refers to any individual who submits an application to participate in Miss Grand UK.

  • "Titleholder" refers to the winner and any runner-up awarded an official title in Miss Grand UK.

  • "Competition" includes all stages of Miss Grand UK, including casting, rehearsals, training, photoshoots, finals, and appearances.

2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Contestants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be a UK national or legal resident of the United Kingdom, or hold citizenship of a country with the right to represent the UK at Miss Grand International.

  • Be between 18 and 28 years old on the date of the Miss Grand UK final, unless specified otherwise by Miss Grand International.

  • Be unmarried and without children.

  • Not be pregnant at any stage of the competition or reign.

2.2 Contestants must not have any criminal record or ongoing legal issues that could damage the reputation of Miss Grand UK or its sponsors.

2.3 Contestants must be legally permitted to travel internationally, as they will represent Miss Grand UK at Miss Grand International if crowned.

2.4 Contestants must have sufficient proficiency in English to communicate effectively during interviews, media appearances, and competition events.

3. APPLICATION PROCESS & ACCEPTANCE

3.1 Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the competition.

3.2 By submitting an application, you confirm that:

  • You meet the eligibility requirements.

  • All information provided is true and accurate.

  • You consent to the processing of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

3.3 The Organiser reserves the right to:

  • Accept or reject any application at its sole discretion.

  • Withdraw acceptance if eligibility requirements are not met or if any false information is provided.

4. FEES, PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

4.1 Contestants must pay the required entry fees and participation fees, which will be communicated upon application.

4.2 All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including but not limited to:

  • Entry fees

  • Workshop fees

  • Training fees

  • Sponsorship packages

  • Ticket sales

4.3 Payments must be made in full by the specified deadlines. Failure to make payments on time may result in disqualification from the competition.

4.4 No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including:

  • Withdrawal from the competition.

  • Disqualification due to misconduct or breach of rules.

  • Failure to attend events, rehearsals, or appearances.

4.5 If a contestant is unable to attend due to personal circumstances, illness, or any other reason, no refund will be provided.

5. TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION

5.1 Contestants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and visa costs unless otherwise specified by the Organiser.

5.2 The Organiser is not responsible for any travel-related issues such as:

  • Flight cancellations or delays.

  • Visa refusals or complications.

  • Lost or damaged property.

5.3 Contestants must ensure they have valid travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) and appropriate insurance for international travel and participation in the competition.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT

6.1 All contestants must behave in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner at all times.

6.2 The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Defamation of the Organiser, other contestants, sponsors, or any affiliated individuals or organisations.

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.

  • Posting damaging or misleading content about Miss Grand UK or its organisers.

  • Engaging in illegal activities or violating UK law.

6.3 Contestants must not pose nude or in any sexually explicit material during the competition or reign.

6.4 Any breach of these rules may result in disqualification or removal from the competition without a refund.

7. USE OF IMAGE & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

7.1 By participating in Miss Grand UK, contestants grant the Organiser the irrevocable right to use their:

  • Name

  • Image

  • Likeness

  • Voice

  • Biographical information

For any promotional, marketing, or media use including:

  • Social media

  • Websites

  • Print and digital media

  • Broadcast platforms

This use is worldwide and royalty-free.

7.2 Contestants must ensure that they have full rights to any content (photos, videos, etc.) submitted to the Organiser. The Organiser is not responsible for any legal disputes over content ownership.

8. JUDGING & DECISIONS

8.1 Contestants will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Stage presence

  • Interview performance

  • Poise and confidence

  • Advocacy and platform

  • Overall presentation

8.2 The decision of the judges is final and non-appealable.

8.3 The Organiser reserves the right to modify or adjust the judging criteria as deemed necessary.

9. TITLEHOLDER DUTIES & REIGN

9.1 If crowned Miss Grand UK, the titleholder agrees to:

  • Represent Miss Grand UK at the Miss Grand International competition.

  • Attend all scheduled media appearances, sponsor events, and public engagements.

  • Fulfil all duties and obligations as required by the Organiser.

9.2 The titleholder must:

  • Not participate in any other beauty pageants during the reign without written permission from the Organiser.

  • Maintain a professional image at all times, both in public and private.

9.3 Failure to meet these duties may result in forfeiture of the title.

10. DISQUALIFICATION & TITLE FORFEITURE

10.1 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for:

  • Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

  • Misconduct or inappropriate behaviour.

  • Providing false information on application forms.

  • Violating the competition’s ethical or legal standards.

10.2 Upon disqualification or forfeiture of title, the titleholder must return any prizes or awards received, including the crown, sash, and any sponsor gifts.

11. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER

11.1 Participation in Miss Grand UK is at the contestant’s own risk. The Organiser, its affiliates, sponsors, and partners are not liable for:

  • Injury or illness sustained during the competition or related events.

  • Loss or damage to personal property.

  • Travel or accommodation issues.

11.2 Contestants are responsible for their own personal insurance during their participation in the competition.

12. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

12.1 The Organiser will handle all personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws and the GDPR.

12.2 Personal data will be used to process applications, manage participation, and fulfil contractual obligations related to Miss Grand UK. For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

13. FORCE MAJEURE

13.1 The Organiser is not liable for any failure to perform obligations due to force majeure events, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Pandemics

  • Political unrest

  • Government actions

In the event of force majeure, the Organiser will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or modify the competition.

14. GOVERNING LAW

14.1 These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15. AMENDMENTS

15.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time, and such amendments will be posted on the Miss Grand UK website. Continued participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of any changes.

16. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By submitting an application or participating in Miss Grand UK, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
